Our Principles of Applied Engineering students put their knowledge into action by designing and building dragsters using gear trains, chain drives, and bevel gears. From concept to creation, they worked through real-world problem solving—and then put their designs to the test on race day!

The competition was fierce, the learning was real, and the excitement was unmatched. This is what hands-on learning is all about!

We were excited to welcome our third guest speaker at Freeport Intermediate School in our Future Ready Speaker Series! 👏

A Process Engineer Leader joined our engineering and computer science classes to share real-world insights into process engineering in chemical plants. Students learned about designing process equipment, problem-solving in complex systems, and what it takes to turn ideas into efficient, working operations.

It was a great opportunity for our students to connect classroom learning to real careers in the engineering field. We appreciate the time and knowledge shared to help inspire the next generation of innovators!

Our Future Ready Speaker Series continues Freeport Intermediate School in our CTE class today with an O.R. Pediatric Nurse! 🏥✨

Our students were engaged, asking thoughtful questions and gaining real insight into what it takes to work in the operating room and care for young patients. From education requirements to day-to-day responsibilities, they walked away with a deeper understanding of the many pathways available in the healthcare field.

Experiences like this help connect classroom learning to real-world careers and inspire our students to start thinking about their futures. We are so thankful for professionals who take the time to invest in the next generation!
