🐾❤️ MEET ONE OF THE PEOPLE SUPPORTING YOUR PTSG! 💙🐾

We’re incredibly grateful to introduce Jillian, our independent external CPA reviewer!

Jillian is not a PTSG board member. Under our updated bylaws, we wanted an additional, independent set of eyes on our finances. Jillian has graciously volunteered her time and QuickBooks expertise, with view-only access, to help provide another layer of transparency and accountability for our Freeman families. ❤️

And we couldn’t ask for a more qualified volunteer! Jillian is a CPA celebrating her 20th year with Eide Bailly Advisory, teaches as an adjunct professor at Whitworth University, and in 2025 was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Top 200 CPAs. 👏

Jillian and her husband, Mike, have called Valleyford home since 2011 and have two Scotties — an 8th grader, and a 5th grader. Their family stays busy with sports, antique cars, flying, and their own Airspace Coffee Co. ☕✈️

We are so thankful to Jillian for volunteering her time and expertise as we continue building a PTSG that is transparent and welcoming of more families getting involved.

We truly believe the more people who bring their talents, ideas, and time to the table, the stronger our Scottie community becomes. 🐾❤️

Say hello to Kristin, our PTSG Secretary! 🎉

Kristin is a proud mom to two Scotties — Kennedy, a 6th grader, and Jack, a 3rd grader — and she is kicking off her 6th year with the Freeman PTSG!

She loves being part of the Freeman community and is excited for another year of helping behind the scenes, keeping us organized, and making sure all of our fun ideas actually make it onto the calendar. 😂❤️

And we have to give a shoutout to Kristin’s husband too! He is always willing to jump in and help at our events, and even built the stands for our Glow Dance. We are so grateful not only for our amazing board members, but also for the spouses working behind the scenes to help bring all of these events to life. ❤️

It truly takes a village, and we are lucky to have families who show up for our Scotties again and again!

We’re so excited to introduce Abby Ketel, our new Freeman PTSG President! 🎉

Abby has served on the PTSG board for the past 7 years, and Freeman truly holds a special place in her heart. She is a proud mom to two Scotties — a 7th grader, and 6th grader — who love their friends, their school, and pretty much every Scottie sport they can get involved in! ⚾️🥎🏀🏈🏐

Abby loves what makes Freeman so special — the families, staff, students, school spirit, and the way this community comes together. ❤️

She is honored to step into the role of President and can’t wait to work alongside our amazing Scottie families to make this year one to remember!

Say hello to Melanie, our new PTSG Treasurer! 🎉

Melanie is a proud mom to two Scotties, and her family has called Freeman home for the past three years. They quickly fell in love with the people, the school spirit, and the way this community shows up for one another. ❤️

She currently works in finance and accounting, and get this—she was also her middle school ASB Treasurer. How perfect is that?! 🤣 Clearly, this role was meant to be. Numbers have been her jam for a long time!

Her goal is to keep our PTSG finances organized, accurate, transparent, and easy for families to understand.

We’re so happy to have Melanie on the team!

We’re excited to introduce Terryl Johnson, our PTSG Vice President! 🎉

Terryl and her family have been part of the Freeman community for almost five years and have two Scotties — an 8th grader and a 5th grader. Their family loves Freeman and feels incredibly blessed to call this community home. ❤️

Terryl loves to host dances, dream up fun ideas, and create memorable experiences for our kids. She believes some of the best gifts we can give our children are the memories they make along the way.

And of course, Kelly her husband is often the hardworking guy behind Terryl’s ideas — and a pretty great cleanup crew too. 😂

We can’t wait to see all the fun we can create together this year!

🐾❤️ MEET YOUR NEW PTSG BOARD! 💙🐾

We’re so excited to introduce Emily Lagreid, our Director of Community Engagement & Communications — AKA our “Fun Director!” 🎉🐾

Emily is a proud mom to three Freeman Scotties and is already such a familiar and helpful face throughout our schools. She helped in the high school office, is a huge support with the elementary and middle school plays, and also gives her time to Young Life, a super fun faith-based after-school middle school program meeting at Freeman on Tuesdays beginning this fall. ❤️

The Scottie spirit definitely runs in the family too! Emily’s daughter, Lily, is the Middle School ASB President this year. 🐾

Emily is excited to help with PTSG communications, community engagement, and all the events our kids love — while bringing a little extra fun along the way!

She truly loves the Freeman community, the Scottie spirit, and the amazing people who make our schools such a special place.

We’re so excited to introduce Jess McWilliams, our new Director of Membership & Volunteer Engagement!

Jess and her husband, Noah, moved to Valleyford four years ago because they wanted their boys, 1st and 3rd grade, to be part of the Freeman community.

Jess is also a former Freeman Middle School teacher and has served our district as a substitute teacher, coach, and volunteer. She brings a wonderful perspective to the PTSG and is excited to help connect families, grow our membership, and create more opportunities for parents to get involved.

Please help us give Jess a big Scottie welcome! 🐾

🎒🐾 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, SCOTTIES! ❤️💙

Now that the kids are officially back… come hang out with us Right after school! 🙌

Join us for our FIRST PTSG MEETING of the year! We’ll be sharing some of the fun things we have planned, ways to get involved, and how we can work together to make this an amazing year for our students and staff.

✨ BONUS: FREE CHILDCARE TONIGHT!
Bring the kids and come say hi — Kids meet at the playground and parents in the Elementary, in the next to the office at 3:15. 🙌

Not ready for a big commitment? That’s okay! There are lots of easy ways to help throughout the year, whether you have 30 minutes, one event, or want to take on a bigger role. Every little bit helps. 💙
