As we celebrate the last day of school at the Freeland Learning Center, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible students, supportive families, and dedicated staff for making this school year such a success.
Together, we have learned, grown, overcome challenges, and created memories that will last a lifetime. We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished and grateful for the partnerships that help make our school community so special.
Today, we will celebrate our First Grade students with a special goodbye clap-out as they prepare to move on to new adventures and new school next year. To allow our staff and students the opportunity to cheer them on, First Grade students will be dismissed first. They will be followed by our Young Fives and Kindergarten students, as we also want to give them a special sendoff and wish them well for the summer.
A special thank you goes to the Rusch family for providing a dance party for all of our students on the last day of school. What a fun and joyful way to celebrate a fantastic year together and create lasting memories!
As the school year comes to a close, remember that this is just one chapter in your journey. Many exciting adventures, opportunities, and successes await our students in the future. Keep learning, keep growing, and continue believing in yourselves.
We wish all of our students, families, and staff a happy, healthy, and safe summer. Enjoy the time to relax, explore, and make wonderful memories with those you love.

What a fantastic Day of Fun for our students! 🎉☀️

Our PTO transformed the lawn in front of the elementary school into an inflatable wonderland filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories. Students had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of inflatable activities, spend time with friends, and celebrate the end of the school year with a day full of smiles and fun.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTO for organizing and sponsoring this special event. Your dedication, generosity, and support help create experiences that our students will remember for years to come.

We are also grateful to our staff and volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly. It was wonderful to see so much joy, energy, and school spirit throughout the day!

The Learning Center students had an amazing opportunity to learn from some incredible high school student leaders!

High school students visited the Learning Center to teach lessons from the Junior Achievement program — an organization dedicated to helping young people build skills in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship. Through fun, hands-on activities, our younger students explored important life skills like saving money, making smart choices, teamwork, and thinking about future careers.

We are so proud of our high school students for stepping into leadership roles and making a positive impact on our younger learners. Thank you for inspiring the next generation and helping create meaningful connections across our school community! 💛

At Freeland Learning Center, our youngest learners are guided by teachers who lead with patience, kindness, and heart. Every day, they help students build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

We’re proud to share that our Freeland Learning Center students and staff came together and raised over $300 during our recent Hat Day event! 🎉

This event was also a great way to wrap up our April Disability Awareness Month spirit days, celebrating inclusion and support for all.

These funds will go toward purchasing communication boards for our playground—helping ensure that all students have a way to connect, express themselves, and feel included during play.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this effort. Your generosity is helping us create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all of our learners. 💙

We had a FUN day at the Freeland Learning Center! 🎉
We loved welcoming our friends from the Freeland Cooperative Preschool as they got a sneak peek of the school they’ll be calling home next year!
The excitement started right away with our Transportation Department, as students got their first look and a ride on one of our buses, what a way to arrive! 🚌 Our amazing Nutrition Department kept everyone fueled and happy by providing lunches for all of our visitors.
And of course, a huge shoutout to our staff and students for making the day extra special. From smiles to helping hands, they made sure our guests felt right at home from the moment they walked in.
Days like this remind us what an awesome community we have. We can’t wait to welcome these future Falcons back again soon!

This week at Freeland Learning Center, students learned how to make smart, healthy snack choices while still enjoying their favorite treats! 🍎
We explored:
🥦 “Go” foods – healthy anytime options
🥞 “Slow” foods – enjoy in moderation
🍰 “Whoa” foods – occasional treats
A big thank you to Mrs. Bhelle for teaching these engaging lessons and to our Nutrition Department for providing the grapefruits! 🍊
To celebrate, we’re ending the week with Fun Fruit Friday! Students will try grapefruit at school and bring one home to share, please check those backpacks! 🎒
Thanks for helping us build healthy habits together!
