Prettyboy Elementary PTA Parent Teacher Association at Prettyboy Elementary School When you join the Prettyboy PTA, a portion of your dues goes to the Maryland and National PTAs.

The Prettyboy PTA is comprised of Prettyboy parents, school administrators and teachers who work together to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning. The PTA sponsors activities that complement the curriculum, bring Prettyboy families together and are just plain fun. The Maryland PTA coordinates its efforts at the state level to influence legislation and policy to benefit all Maryland schoolchildren, including our children at Prettyboy. The Maryland PTA is focused on educational issues throughout our state and nation. As such, it serves as a liaison between the decision-makers and the schools. It disseminates information about the ever-changing educational system to the local PTAs while relaying feedback about the students, schools, and communities to those who establish school policies and curricula. What began as the National Congress of Mothers in 1897 has grown and developed into the National PTA. The

National PTA is a powerful volunteer organization working for the education, health and safety of all children.

TODAY WAS THE DAY… 🏁🎉

Our amazing teachers suited up for the Inflatable Race because our school hit our FIRST school-wide fundraising benchmark! 💚🐎💚

The excitement was IN THE AIR! Each grade was cheering on their teacher, all hoping to come out on top and win EXTRA RECESS for their grade. 🏃🏼‍♀️💨

But then… PLOT TWIST. 👀

Our teachers banded together, showed the ultimate sportsmanship, and crossed the finish line ALL TOGETHER. 🥹💚

Which means…

EVERYONE GETS EXTRA RECESS! 🎉🎉🎉

And the fundraising news is just as exciting…

💰 $20,000 raised and counting!
🎯 Our goal is $30,000 by the end of the Prettyboy Pony Run - next Thursday!

What a way to celebrate our Prettyboy Ponies coming together, having fun, and showing what happens when we all work toward the same goal.

LET’S GET TO $30K! 🐴💚
