Happy 2nd birthday to our little firecracker! She joined our Happy Day Family at just 4 months old. They all grow up way too fast. We love you! So many March birthdays to celebrate!

Tuesday Hapoy Day Childcare & Preschool went to Olympia to meet with legislators from District 10, including Rep. Clyde Shavers and Rep. Dave Paul, to speak up for the children, families, and childcare providers in our community.

I shared concerns about the proposal to cap Working Connections Child Care. In simple terms, a cap limits how many families can receive help paying for childcare, even if they qualify. Advocates are warning this could mean up to about 14,000 Washington families losing their subsidy or being unable to access it.

I also talked about the Transition to Kindergarten program (sometimes called TK or TTK). Happy Day Childcare supports programs that help children prepare for kindergarten and succeed. At the same time, we want these programs to work well for everyone. That means clear rules, accountability, and better coordination so community childcare providers and school programs can work together without families losing options.

Our goal is simple. I want Washington to strengthen early learning in a way that supports children and supports families while also protecting childcare choices in our community.

Hi! We’ll have an opening available starting in February 2026. While it’s always bittersweet when a family relocates for work, we’re excited to meet and welcome new families into our program. Now that my little one is in school we can now offer drop in care!
Pre-Registration is required before drop-in care begins.
