Please join us on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, at our second regular communication back from the summer refreshment as we welcome RW Robert H. Johnson, member of the Education Committee of the Grand Lodge of Illinois and host of the “Whence Came You?” podcast as he Zooms into our Lodge to discuss the “Mystical Legacies: Unveiling the Esoteric Origins and Historical Implications of Atlantis, Lemuria, and Occult Traditions”.

This presentation is open to all Masons and Non-Masons. The presentation will begin approximately at 8PM.

We will be live streaming RW Johnson in the Lodge Room so you can join us in person as well!

David Crenshaw, the son of our late Brother, Robert Crenshaw Jr., is a member of Kearny VFW and has organized a Memorial 5K for tomorrow morning at Branch Brook Park in Newark. Enterprise Lodge No. 31 will be in attendance as volunteer assistants and has reached out to ask other Brothers to help!

Iris Assembly, New Jersey, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is hosting a charity movie night this Friday evening at the Lodge.

Join the ladies with Tangled related activities and a viewing of the movie to cap off the night. All proceeds go to the Children’s Dyslexia Center Foundation.

New sign boxes are finished and installed as another summer project is completed by RW Ken Long, our house dad! They were long overdue to be replaced and with a little bit of time and energy, we’ve got brand new, internally lit, signs! Thanks, Ken!

Brothers,

It is with regret that I inform you that Brother Charles Buscaglia was called to the Lodge on High on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026. Brother Buscaglia was raised on 9/23/1958.

His family has requested a Masonic Funeral Service on Friday, July 10th, 2026 at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Road - Freehold). We have tentatively coordinated with the Funeral Home to have the service at 7:30PM. Please arrive no later than 7:15AM. Should that time change, I will send out a follow up message otherwise, 7:30PM will hold.

Attire is black/dark suit and tie, no name badges, and limited/no lapel pins.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration as we say our final farewells to our departed Brother.

Congratulations to the “Mavericks”: Bros. Tyler DeRosa, Joshua Klapcik, Anthony Malet, Edward Mullins, and Eric Vitale who were passed to the degree of Fellowcraft last night at Durand Lodge utilizing the Williams Balcony as part of the degree!

Thank you to all the Brothers who came out and assisted us in putting on the degree, and for Durand Lodge for hosting us! It was a pleasure traveling to your Lodge!

Emergent FC° @ Durand Lodge #179 F & AM!

Please join us on Tuesday, June 30th for an emergent communication to be held at Durand Lodge #179 where we will hold a Fellowcraft Degree for 5 of our EA Brothers utilizing their Williams Balcony. Our Junior Warden, Bro. Al Yodakis will be presiding in the East for the degree with our Senior Warden, Bro. Matthew Kuziemski giving the Middle Chamber Lecture.

Dinner will Jersey Mike's Subs at 6:30PM and the Degree will begin at 7:30PM. Officers attire is Tuxedo or Black Suit/Tie. All other Brothers, please wear suit and tie.

Durand Lodge #179 is located at 911 Richmond Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach.
