We’re in the playoffs! FRC Team 171 picked us in the first round for the number 7 alliance. We were joined shortly after by FRC team 10553 Orange Overdrive.

What an exciting first day of matches! We’ve been performing consistently well and are now ranked 17th out of 38 teams! Our record is currently 5-4. We still have 3 qualification matches tomorrow with alliance selections around lunchtime and hopefully some playoff action in the afternoon. Last chance to come cheer us on in Appleton if you want to come visit us tomorrow!

We also want to recognize Ruby for rocking her Leadership Award interview! Her hands on teaching ability and commitment to this team has been substantial since she started last year and we’re so proud of her accomplishments. Congratulations Ruby on the award nomination!

Thank you all so much for the love and support, we couldn’t do this without our family, friends, and community members helping us every step of the way. Go Irish!

We had a very productive week! We added rollers to our hopper to increase throughput, installed a second motor to keep our intake down, and slightly redesigned the intake arms so our hopper can’t be pushed back in.

We are heading to our first event of the year at Lakeland university this afternoon. Qualification matches begin Saturday at 11. Thanks to everyone who joined us for today’s workshop!
Our students had a great time creating the first part of their nameplates, learning CAD, and diving into some programming.

We also had a surprise visit from Channel 5 News. They interviewed our team, and we were told the segment may air tonight at 10 PM. If you can, please tune in!

We had a great time earlier this week at our sponsor IVI's open house! Our students built and raced sail cars and paper airplanes, learned about the amazing work IVI does, and met some of the talented people behind it. They even got to connect with members of Team 93 from Appleton! A huge thank-you to IVI for hosting us and providing such a fun, hands-on experience.

We also wrapped up the week with our costume contest. Congratulations to Chloe for winning first place and to Ruby for coming in second!
