FRC Team 6318 - The Freedom Engineers

A bit late, but we had to share this one!

A couple weeks ago we competed at MROC. Huge shoutout to FRC Team 930 for hosting a great event!

This was a big deal for us: for the first time ever, we were alliance captains! We had the pleasure of teaming up with Graffiti Robotics and FRC 7900 Trial N' Terror for our alliance, and it was an absolute blast working with them.

Stay tuned as we gear up for the new school year and start moving into our new space. Exciting things ahead!

We had the wonderful opportunity to compete yesterday at Synthwave Showdown! We were selected as the second pick of Alliance 5 and fought hard throughout the event before being eliminated after our second playoff match.

A huge thank you to Lakeshore First Robotics for hosting another fantastic event. We appreciate all of the volunteers, organizers, and teams that made the competition possible.

We're hoping to compete in one more off season event before school begins, but we're still working out the logistics. Stay tuned for more updates!

What a week for our robotics family!

We kicked things off last Saturday with an Einstein Finals watch party, then wrapped up with our annual banquet, celebrating an incredible season and giving our seniors the send-off they deserve. We are so proud of everything this team has accomplished.
And don't worry, we're not going anywhere!

While construction will keep us out of the school building this summer, we still have one more meeting before the school year wraps up, and we're planning at least one off-season event to keep the momentum going.

Looking ahead to next school year, we are thrilled to be moving into our brand new space. We'll be hosting an open house this fall so you can see it for yourself. Stay tuned for details! We're also looking forward to bringing back our workshops once the construction chaos is behind us.

None of this happens without the incredible people in our corner. A huge thank you to our sponsors Freedom Area School District, Argosy Foundation, FIRST Wisconsin, Carol & Wayne Kolzow, Gene Haas Foundation, Amcor Packaging, Baum Machine Inc., KloesCraft Creations, AZCO, Wenzel Painting Inc., Lindquist Machine Corporation, and IVI

We’re in the playoffs! FRC Team 171 picked us in the first round for the number 7 alliance. We were joined shortly after by FRC team 10553 Orange Overdrive.

Let’s do this! Go Irish!

What an exciting first day of matches! We’ve been performing consistently well and are now ranked 17th out of 38 teams! Our record is currently 5-4. We still have 3 qualification matches tomorrow with alliance selections around lunchtime and hopefully some playoff action in the afternoon. Last chance to come cheer us on in Appleton if you want to come visit us tomorrow!

We also want to recognize Ruby for rocking her Leadership Award interview! Her hands on teaching ability and commitment to this team has been substantial since she started last year and we’re so proud of her accomplishments. Congratulations Ruby on the award nomination!

Thank you all so much for the love and support, we couldn’t do this without our family, friends, and community members helping us every step of the way. Go Irish!

We had a very productive week! We added rollers to our hopper to increase throughput, installed a second motor to keep our intake down, and slightly redesigned the intake arms so our hopper can’t be pushed back in.

We’re excited to be competing again next weekend at Appleton East High School! We’d love to see you there, the event is free and open to the public. More information: https://www.firstinspireswi.org/post/2026-win-district-appleton-event-week-3
