We are excited to welcome Ms. Young to the St. Nicholas family! She will be joining our early childhood team as our new Pre-K3 Teacher, and we are thrilled to have her with us.

"Hello, I am Ms. Young from Seymour, Wi. I just graduated from NWTC with my Associates Degree in Early Education and I am working on my Bachelor's Degree at UW Superior online . I currently teach dance on the side through the Seymour Dance Club, I have been doing that for the past 6 years. You may also see me working at Krabbes Supper Club. In my spare time I really enjoy reading, listening to music, camping and spending time with my friends and family.

Children have always held a special place in my heart. Seeing their smiles everyday and hearing the fun little stories they create, is a great blessing.

I am so grateful to be a part of St. Nicholas Catholic School and I am extremely excited for the new school year to begin."

"Hello St. Nicholas! I'm back!
My name is Melissa Vander Heiden, and I will be joining the staff, once again, as the fourth grade teacher. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, all in the Diocese of Green Bay.

Outside of the classroom, I spend most of my time with my family. My husband, Troy, and I have been married for twenty years. We have three children: Henry, 19, attending UW-La Crosse, Hunter, 19, attending UW- Madison, and Morgan, 15, attending Freedom High School. I love traveling, reading books, and following my kids in their activities.

St. Nicholas is a special place, and I cannot express how excited I am to be back in the classroom and in the community. Thank you for your trust and support!"

“My name is Stephanie Tews, and I am incredibly excited to be teaching at St. Nicholas as the 4K teacher this year.

When I am not in the classroom, my absolute favorite role is being a mom! I love staying active and spending as much time outdoors as possible. On weekends and breaks, you can usually find me hiking, biking, and finding new paths to explore.

Camping under the stars is one of my favorite ways to recharge.

At home, I love diving into crafting projects and spending time working in my yard and garden. I bring that same love for creativity, discovery, and active learning into our classroom every single day.”

We are excited to have Mr. Claus join our St. Nicholas family.

“I am originally from Kansas, and I am a big fan of the Kansas State University Wildcats. That’s likely how purple became my favorite color.

I spent thirty-two years teaching high school choir, along with some general music classes, and directing church choirs.

I have a twelve-year-old daughter, Vivian, who is named after my mother. We both enjoy musical theater, and I have participated either as the music director or performed onstage (sometimes both!) for over fifty productions.

I am also a manned space fan. I have even gone to Teacher Space Camp.

I am excited for this new adventure at St. Nicholas and St. Mary’s. I look forward to getting to meet the staff and help build up students with the knowledge and faith they can take with them into their world.” - Mr. Claus

🎉 Please join us in welcoming our new principal to St. Nicholas Catholic School! 🎉

I am incredibly honored to join the St. Nicholas family. Since beginning my journey as an elementary educator in 2000 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, my passion has always been nurturing young minds. Twelve years ago, a powerful reversion to my Catholic faith deeply transformed my perspective, showing me that true education must be completely centered around Jesus Christ.

My recent time teaching kindergarten at Saint John Paul II Classical School, combined with my current leadership studies at the University of Mary, has prepared me to serve this community with a joyful and faithful heart. Together with my husband, four children, daughter-in-law, and grandson, I am excited to step into this new chapter.

My mission is to foster a vibrant, Christ-centered environment where our students can discover their God-given talents, achieve academic success, and grow into the saints they are called to be. I look forward to meeting and working alongside all of our wonderful families.
