🧱✨ Building big ideas in Enrichment! ✨🧱

Today, our 1st and 2nd grade students put their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to work during Enrichment!

Students were introduced to a STEM design challenge that required them to think like engineers. They began by drafting a plan for their design, thinking carefully about structure, materials, and how their ideas would translate from paper to reality. Then came the fun part...bringing those designs to life with LEGO bricks!

As they built, students practiced spatial reasoning, fine-motor skills, perseverance, communication, and collaboration. They tested their ideas, made adjustments, solved problems, and learned that sometimes the first design isn't the final design- and that's exactly how engineers work!

Today was a great reminder that STEM learning can be hands-on, creative, and FUN! 🧠🔧🧱

🚧🦅 WE’RE OFFICIALLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION! 🦅🚧

What a FIRST DAY at Freedom Public Schools! Our theme for the year is “Building Our Future, One Eagle at a Time,” and today was the perfect way to get started! We spent the day learning, laughing, working together, and- most importantly- building relationships. ❤️

Our elementary students jumped right in with fun learning activities, creative games, and team-building challenges designed to get everyone working together and ready for a fantastic year!

And our high school students? They may have discovered that math is a whole lot more fun when ICE CREAM is involved! 🍦 They used math skills to work through an ice cream recipe, collaborated to make their own ice cream, and then enjoyed the delicious fruits of their labor. Talk about a sweet way to start the year!

There was a little friendly competition, a lot of creativity, plenty of teamwork, and more than a few laughs along the way!

Today reminded us that learning doesn't always have to look like sitting quietly in a classroom. Sometimes it looks like solving a mystery, racing to revise a sentence, figuring out coordinates, creating something together, or making ice cream from a recipe.

The foundation has been poured, the blueprints are in hand, and our Eagles are ready to BUILD something GREAT! 🚧❤️

What a wonderful day at Freedom Public Schools! ❤️

Yesterday, our teachers spent another day learning, collaborating, and preparing for an incredible school year during Professional Development. We also had a fantastic evening welcoming students and families at Meet the Teacher!

A heartfelt thank you to the Freedom United Methodist Church for treating our staff to a delicious lunch. We are so grateful to Julie Russell, Janell Reutlinger, and Peg Nixon for their generosity and hospitality. Your support means so much to our teachers and school! ❤️

Now it's time for the moment we've all been waiting for...

Students, we can't wait to welcome you back! Get ready for an exciting first day filled with fun activities, team building, and the start of an amazing year of learning, growth, and memories. It's going to be a great year to be an Eagle! 🦅❤️

🎉 The halls are coming back to life, and we are officially gearing up for an AMAZING school year! ❤️🤍

Today was all about learning, planning, laughing together, and getting ready to welcome our students back home to Freedom Public Schools. We are so excited for everything this year has in store!

A huge THANK YOU to Freedom Christian Church for blessing our staff with a delicious back-to-school lunch, and to Randy & Vickie Widener and Sue Reed for hosting us with such incredible generosity. We are so thankful for a community that loves and supports our teachers. ❤️

📚 Don't forget! Meet the Teacher is tomorrow from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

🌭 Dinner will be provided, so bring the whole family, enjoy a meal together, and come meet your teachers for the new school year! We can't wait to see smiling faces filling our hallways again.

📝 Enrollment packets are due! If you still need one, packets are available on the table just inside the Main Doors.
