St. Joseph Catholic School Providing Students with Academic Excellence Since 1869 St. Joseph Parish, Freeburg; St.

Joseph Catholic School, founded in 1869, provides an affordable, quality, Catholic elementary education for the families of St. Pancratius Parish, Fayetteville; and for non-Catholics who accept our mission and philosophy. Relying on the help and guidance of our Lord, the school works in partnership with families to pass on our Catholic values, traditions, and heritage. Emphasis is placed on the importance of Christian values, the development of a positive self-concept and a strong academic background through discipline,
cooperation, and responsibility. As a community of caring individuals working together, we continue to grow closer to God through loving, respecting, and serving one another, and by praying and worshipping together. The philosophy of our school is anchored in the belief that God creates men and women in His image and that He desires them to find happiness in knowing, loving, and serving Him. Joseph Catholic School focuses on teaching Catholic doctrine, building Christian community, and helping students acquire skills, virtues, and habits of heart and mind required for effective
service to others. As a school community we strive to educate the whole person in an atmosphere of love, respect, and concern for one another. Joseph Catholic School is dedicated to maintaining high academic standards and to providing daily opportunities to live our Catholic faith.

In Religion class, 1st and 2nd grade have been talking about trusting God, relying on Him, but also thanking him for the many gifts He has already given us. We’ve also talked about how we can talk to God anytime and anywhere, but that the quiet moments before Mass are a beautiful time to pray in silence.
This morning, I witnessed just that—and of course, I had to take a picture. ❤️

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

PreK 3 has been very busy the last few weeks learning their letters H, I, T and F. They have been learning our routine, becoming very independent and already writing ✍️ their names!! 🤭 we have done a few science experiments 🧪 one with ice 🧊 and another with paper flowers.
Thank you to the Brauer Family for providing horseshoes 🐎 for the kids to touch, hammer and do art with! They loved it!

Look for more pics to come for Apple and Pumpkin (Halloween) science in a couple weeks, fire 🔥 🚒 prevention week and field trip fun! 🍎🎃
