Congratulations to the M.I.D.G.E.T. Mechanical Industrial Design General Engineering Team on getting the opportunity to compete at the Project Mfg Additive Manufacturing National Championship in Pflugerville, Texas! Although they did not finish in the top 3 overall, they did however finish in second place in the assembly/printing portion just .5 points out of first place. Unfortunately in a tight competition one decision can be enough to knock you out of the top spots. Overall, this was a great opportunity to compete against the best programs at the high school and college levels. They also had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and tour state of the art facilities where parts from the space shuttle to submarines are manufactured. The sky is the limit for these four. Congratulations to the teams that took home the top spots:
1. University of West Virginia
2. Bryan ISO CTE
3. Triad High School

Another great day for Freeburg High School Industrial Arts students. We were fortunate to bring home prizes in Masters of CNC and Journeyman Carpentry. The carpentry students received Milwaukee bags and gift cards. The Masters of CNC student took home $1000 dollars. Great opportunities for great students.

Over the past several weeks Mr. Knake's Introduction to Construction students have been building rocking horses. These students did a great job and they were able to take them home last week. This year we made 65!!
