The DSCS Middle School students had a very faith-filled retreat at Harrington Beach earlier this week. The day began with a special outdoor Mass, with Father Gideon presiding. Tim Shininger provided beautiful music, and Terri Riesselmann served as our sacristan.
Throughout the retreat, students had time to reflect on the many gifts God has given them. We also discussed the words of St. Catherine of Siena: "Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire." Father Gideon challenged our students to be BOLD in their faith and to live as witnesses to Christ in their daily lives.
The day was filled with fellowship, prayer, and fun. We enjoyed s'mores, shared a wonderful lunch, created a painted art project, and spent meaningful time praying together. It was a memorable day of faith, reflection, and community.

Earlier this week, the middle school students researched a body system, created a diagram of the system, put together a 3D model, and presented the systems to the other grades. They learned how to keep themselves healthy! What a great way to finish science class for the year!

🚒 This morning, a few lucky DSCS students arrived at school in style thanks to the Fredonia Fire Department and the families who placed the winning bids during our Fall Event Online Auction!
What a fun and memorable way to start the school day. A big thank you to the Fredonia Fire Department for helping create smiles and excitement for our students, and to everyone who supports DSCS through our fundraising events. Your generosity helps make experiences like this possible! ❤️💙
