We are having a wonderful a day at the Chautauqua Institution for the CCMTA Spring Festival.

Last week we were happy to host a NYSSMA Major Organization Evaluation Festival here at Fredonia.

We hosted over 350 students in ensembles from across WNY. 40% of these students were from Fredonia.

Congratulations to all that performed. Here are the ratings our groups received:

- HS Symphonic Band: Gold
- MS Concert Band: Silver
- 6th Grade Orchestra: Gold

There are a few weeks left to register for our fantastic Summer Music Lesson Program!

We offer lessons in all band and orchestra instruments, voice, and piano.

This is a great opportunity for students to learn a new skill, get ready for solo fest, learn a secondary instrument, and so much more! All lessons are taught at Fredonia HS by NYS Certified Music Teachers and SUNY Fredonia Music Professors.

Last year over 80 students signed up. Spots are limited, so don't forget to sign-up before registration closes on June 12!

Volunteers from our Symphonic Band were honored to perform at today’s Village of Fredonia Memorial Day Ceremony. Many thanks to Commander Erick and Fredonia Memorial Post 59 for organizing the event and inviting us. Kudos also to these students, their families, and Mr. Bennett.

Our Hillbilly Harmonics (4th grade Select Chorus) placed 1st in the ES Choral Division yesterday at Darien Lake MusicFest. This is the fourth year in a row where our youngest musicians have competed and placed first amongst several ES schools (grades 4-6) across NYS and the surrounding areas. Thank you to all of the parent chaperones that helped out yesterday and for the dedication of our students and families. The future of our FCSD Music Family is bright!
