The FHS Drama Club took a trip to New York City this past weekend. While there, they saw two Broadway shows - "Wicked" and "The Outsiders" and participated in workshops with cast members from those shows! Other experiences included visiting the Statue of Liberty, the Summit One Vanderbilt Tower, a backstage tour of Radio City Music Hall, a visit to the Museum of Ice Cream, and time in Central Park and Times Square. Thank you to the students who represented Fredonia well on the trip and the chaperones for all their help and support!

Every Summer we hold a B̶a̶r̶n̶ Band Room Raising where current High Schoolers come in to setup their rehearsal space for our 230 band students.

In three hours the room goes from summer cleaning mode with all of the chairs and stands racked and instruments stored away to being ready for students.

We didn’t get a picture of all the volunteers but many thanks to these student musicians. We wouldn’t be ready for next week without them!

Even in the summer the beat goes on for our music department. Almost 100 students participated in our 2026 Summer Music Lesson Program. Many thanks to all involved, their families, and their fantastic instructors!

Congratulations to all that performed. Here are the ratings our groups received:

- HS Symphonic Band: Gold
- MS Concert Band: Silver
- 6th Grade Orchestra: Gold

Congratulations to these students and their teachers!

There are a few weeks left to register for our fantastic Summer Music Lesson Program!

We offer lessons in all band and orchestra instruments, voice, and piano.

This is a great opportunity for students to learn a new skill, get ready for solo fest, learn a secondary instrument, and so much more! All lessons are taught at Fredonia HS by NYS Certified Music Teachers and SUNY Fredonia Music Professors.

Last year over 80 students signed up. Spots are limited, so don't forget to sign-up before registration closes on June 12!

Before the concert we also honored our Seniors before their last performance.
