Neurodivergent describes people whose brains process, learn, or behave differently from what society considers "typical". It is a non-medical umbrella term encompassing conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, celebrating natural neurological variation rather than framing these differences as "broken".

Key Concepts
Neurotypical: The opposite of neurodivergent; this describes individuals whose brain functions and behavioral traits align with standard societal expectations.
Neurodiversity: The broader concept that all human brains are naturally unique, and there is no single "correct" way for a brain to function.

Strengths and Challenges
Being neurodivergent is not an inherent sickness or a disorder; rather, it comes with a unique set of both challenges and strengths.
For example, many neurodivergent individuals process information quickly, demonstrate exceptional pattern recognition, or possess intense focus on specialized interests. However, they often face daily hurdles because societal environments (such as rigid work schedules or bright, loud spaces) are designed for neurotypical individuals.
