We are beyond excited for the 2026 Fredericktown Blackcats Homecoming Parade! 🎉🐾 This year’s theme is Blackcats in Rio 🦜 and we can’t wait to celebrate !

The parade will be followed by festivities in the park, so bring the whole family for an afternoon full of Blackcat pride, community spirit, and an added “Rio” touch. 💛🖤

🍎 Welcome Back, Blackcats! 🖤💛

What a great start to the new school year as our staff kicked things off with a day full of connection, preparation, and excitement for what’s ahead!

An energetic and festive welcome greeted everyone upon arrival, thanks to the Blackcat Band, Color Guard, Cheerleaders, and Golddusters! Their school spirit helped set the tone for a true Blackcat morning! 🖤💛🎶📣

The day continued with a delicious breakfast provided by OPAA! ☕🥞 We’re so grateful for the food service team for helping start the morning off right!

After breakfast and a warm welcome, the day was filled with learning, collaboration, and preparation for the year ahead. From student safety and professional development to getting classrooms ready, there was plenty happening behind the scenes to ensure everything is set for students to return.

We’re excited for another year of learning, growing, and doing what we do best—putting our students first!

A special thank-you to all of the amazing community organizations, businesses, and individuals who joined us at our Back-to-School Fair!

Whether you set up a booth to share information about valuable resources, provided clothing and shoes, donated school supplies, or simply spent the evening connecting with our families, your support made a difference.

Events like this are a great reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support its students and families. We are grateful for each of you and the resources, generosity, and encouragement you brought to our Blackcat community!

Our Back-to-School Fair would not have been possible without the amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and talents to make the evening such a success!

From serving hot dogs, snow cones, and popcorn to running Bingo and Plinko, painting faces, organizing clothing and shoes, handing out school supplies, and helping families connect with community resources—you helped make a difference!

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped create a fun and welcoming event for our students and families.

🎒🖤💛 Back-to-School Fair! 💛🖤🎒

What a fantastic turnout for our Back-to-School Fair! It was great to see so many of our students and their families come together to kick off the new school year.

Families enjoyed hot dogs, snow cones, and popcorn while students had fun playing Bingo and Plinko and getting their faces painted! 🎨🎉

Our families were also able to take home free clothing, shoes, and school supplies, while connecting with community organizations and learning about valuable resources available right here in our community.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the community partners, volunteers, staff, and everyone who donated their time and resources to make this event such a success. Most importantly, thank you to all of our families for coming out and making it such a fun evening!

We had a great group of substitute teachers join us this week for training as we prepare for another school year! Our substitutes play an important role in keeping our classrooms running smoothly and ensuring our students continue to receive the support and instruction they need when their regular teacher is away.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to learn, prepare, and get ready to serve our students and staff. We appreciate you being part of the Blackcat family! 🖤💛
