Master YJ Kim spent three wonderful days in New Jersey where he had the pleasure of spending time and learning with President An, Grandmasters, and instructors of WTA (World Taekwondo Academy) who were visiting the US for the 12th International Taekwondo Master Qualification Course, as well as with many Taekwondo masters from New York, New Jersey and other states across the country. Master Kim is grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn and spend time with many great masters.

Hello MKMAC Family,

Here are our important announcements for September:

1) 🥋 Uniform Policy
Beginning September 1st, full Doboks will be required for all classes. Our summer T-shirt uniform option will end on August 31st.

2) 🇺🇸 Labor Day Closure
MKMAC will be CLOSED in observance of Labor Day on:
• Saturday, September 5th
• Monday, September 7th

We were truly honored to welcome three internationally renowned Grandmasters as special guest examiners for our Black Belt Testing.

🥋 SGM Kim Soo
Founder of Chayon-Ryu Martial Arts, SGM Kim Soo has devoted more than seven decades to teaching and preserving Korean martial arts. He established his martial arts school in Houston, TX in 1968 and today at 89 years old, he continues to teach on the mat and share his knowledge with students. His lifelong dedication to martial arts is truly remarkable.

🥋 GM CJ Park Ph.D
Former World Taekwondo Champion (1982) and a member of the Board of Directors of Kukkiwon and World Taekwondo Federation. He is also a Professor at George Mason University and serves as President of the US Martial Arts Grandmasters Federation. GM CJ Park has made significant contributions to TKD as a competitor, educator and leader.

🥋 GM Bongseok Kim
A former US Army World Class athlete and Military World Taekwondo Champion, Grandmaster Bongseok Kim later served as Head Coach of the US All-Army and US Armed Forces Taekwondo Teams. He served two four-year terms as President of Taekwondo committee of the International Military Sports Council (CISM). CISM is recognized as the second-largest multisport organization in the world after the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He currently serves on USA Olympic Taekwondo (USAT) Board of Directors.

We are deeply honored and grateful to have had these three exceptional Grandmasters with us to examine our black belt candidates and share their knowledge and experience. It was a very special and memorable testing for our students.
