The Fredericksburg Alumni Chapter was chartered June 6, 1969 by Ten great men. The Fraternity's fundamental purpose is achievement. Diggs, Byron K.
Kappa Alpha Psi was founded on the campus of Indiana University at Bloomington on January 5, 1911. Early in this century, African-American students were actively dissuaded from attending college. Formidable obstacles were erected to prevent the few who were enrolled from assimilating into co-curricular campus life. This ostracism characterized Indiana University in 1911, thus causing Elder W. 57 years ago today, 10 brothers got together and charted the Fredericksburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Today we honor not only those brothers but all the brothers who have made this great chapter what it is today.

Today the Fredericksburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and the Kappa Foundation of Fredericksburg donated $1,000 to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank. We were also privileged enough to get a tour of the facility where we received an “eye-opening” orientation to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank’s Mission and its wide-ranging support to the Greater Fredericksburg Community.
