We're incredibly proud to celebrate our Vice President, Nehemia Abel, on being selected as an Advisor to the United States Refugee Advisory Board!🎉

At Ubumwe, we believe in the power of our community members to lead, serve, and create impact far beyond our organization. Congratulations Nehemia! We’re cheering you on every step of the way!

The is thrilled to welcome seven new advisors: Nehemia Abel, Ashraf Affan, Anisa Ali, Omar Aziz, Basel Mousslly, Sharon Njie, and Ali Tarokh.

“The seven advisors joining the Board carry both the technical expertise and the lived experience to contribute significantly to global protection work. Our work is to ensure that policymakers, UN agencies, and our NGO partners hear directly from the people most impacted by these policies," said Faith Akovi Cooper, Chair of USRAB. "As world leaders gather this week for the UN General Assembly 81, it is a timely moment to reimagine refugee protection and global responsibility and to take action.”
