National Hungry Caterpillar Day is celebrated on March 20th to honor the classic children’s book and embrace spring while sharing the gift of reading with young people.
We are pleased to present a special reading initiative happening this Saturday March 14th 1-3pm! We’ll be doing a book reading at these two location. If you’re interested in supporting this event please reach out. We’d love to provide free books to the kids 🤩

Dr. Maya Angelou
A poet, dancer, singer, activist, scholar, & a world famous author! 🤩 Once again, we learn that you can do it all, each and everyone of us is capable of creating change in more ways than one.
In 1972, Dr. Angelou became the first African American to have her screen play turned into a film with the production of Georgia, Georgia.
Her many works went on to be nominated for & win many awards.

44th President of the United States 🤩 Barack Obama
The first ever African American elected as President of the United States of America in 2008 & went on to serve 2 terms🥳 Wow! History indeed was made.
A few fun facts:
In his first term, President Obama focused on the Affordable Care Act & more. In his second term, he focused on climate change, foreign policy, & more.

The U.S. has released new travel guidelines as of Jan 2026. Please read the following and be aware of the rules as you plan your travel in the coming months.
The new travel guidelines restrict or prohibit travel into the U.S. from the following 19 countries:
- Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burundi, Cote D’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Venezuela, Zambia, and Zimbabwe

Do you know about Dr. Mae C. Jemison?
Before her 30th birthday, Mae C. Jemison had received 2 undergraduate degrees and a medical degree, served 2 years as a Peace Corps medical officer in West AfricaC and was selected to join NASA’s astronaut training program. Wow! Talk about doing it all 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Jemison became the first female African American space traveler on her 8 day space flight on the space shuttle Endeavour in 1992 😆😆
Anyone thinking about pursuing Medicine & Aerospace? Jemison’s story shows us that you ca do it all! You don’t have to choose between your passions
