Students that are eligible for the DutchCrafters Amish Furniture Scholarship must meet the subsequent conditions below.

1) Enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited 4-year undergraduate institution located in the United States of America.

2) Be a U.S. citizen or maintain legal residency within the United States.

3) Have achieved a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

4) Must have applied for federal financial aid (FAFSA).

5) Excluded from consideration are employees and relatives of employees of JMX Brands, the company that owns DutchCrafters.

Who Can Apply:

Be an alum of FIRST. Alumni status will be confirmed.
Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Be enrolled in Fall 2022 as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at a four-year, U.S. located, accredited college or university that is designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution, an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution, a Tribal College, or a Historically Black College or University.
Be a US citizen or permanent resident.
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Have a demonstrated unmet financial need as verified by their college or university
Submission:

A current academic transcript.
Incoming Freshman, please upload your current High School Transcript
College Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, please upload your current Academic Transcript
One letter of recommendation from an individual who has engaged with the student in a FIRST program, who can provide insight into the student’s academic performance and potential for success. Recommender must identify themselves as a Mentor/Coach in the letter.

Written response no longer that five hundred (500) words in length describing how you believe your experiences with FIRST have inspired you to meet your education and life goals. This may be an informal list or paragraph structure.

Applicants to the Barry Griswell Scholarship Initiative to Raise the Bar for Students must meet all of the following criteria as of the application deadline date:

Have a high school diploma/GED, or be a high school senior, or be a current college undergraduate student
If high school senior or current college undergraduate student, must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
Be United States (U.S.) citizens, U.S. permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident Card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA)
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year
