Classical Ballet of Fredericksburg is the Fredericksburg Area's premiere center for Russian Method Ballet Training. We offer classes in Ballet Technique, Pointe, Classical Variations, Vaganova Floor Barre, Yoga Stretch, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Contemporary Ballet.

Very true statement as it applies to ballet. It may look easy but that is a facade. Great dancers develop through commitment, routine and persistence. Summer is a wonderful time to begin this journey when students can concentrate on technique without the added pressure of school. Our summer session is in progress but we have open registration throughout the summer. Message us for more information!

If you have ever stood in awe of an extraordinary performer, read a book that moved you to your core, or witnessed a piece of art or idea or business or anything truly extraordinary, you are not looking at a stroke of genius but the result of a person who spent mornings, nights, and weekends at their desks, in their studios, on their practice fields, beginning where others ended. What you celebrate in public was perfected in private.

Ballet in the Park is coming in 6 days! We are so excited to share what we have been working on. The last portion of our program is the Sleeping Beauty Fairy Prologue. CBF dancers Alayna and Jolie explain what this part is all about. Thanks girls!

One week from today CBF dancers will fill these costumes as we present Ballet in the Park at Patriot Park, Spotsylvania, VA at 5 pm. We are getting ready to perform for YOU. Won’t you join us?

Ballet in the Park on June 20 @ 5 pm will also feature a performance of the Grand Pas de Quatre. This piece was choreographed for 4 famous ballerinas in 1845 by choreographer Jules Perrot. In modern productions, dancers portray the original 4 ballerinas who were considered to be the greatest dancers of the Romantic Era. Lawn seating is FREE to the public. We hope you will join us for this special presentation!
