Beta Chi Chapter Pittsylvania County,VA "The Delta Kappa Gamma Society" International Society for Key Women Educators 1.To unite women educators of the world in a genuine, spiritual fellowship.
2.

To honor women who have given, or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education.
3. To advance the professional interest and position of women in education.
4. To initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation in the interest of education and women educators.
5. To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to women educators from other countries.
6. To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action.
7. To inform the membership of current economic, social, political, and educational issues to the end that they may become intelligent functioning members of a world society.

IOTA state members- Stephanie Brooks (Beta Chi chapter), Lisa Gehring (Omega chapter & former IOTA State Recording Secretary) and Meg Walker (Beta Chi chapter) of Delta Kappa Gamma were represented at the Creating Connections to Shining Stars 2019 conference this week. We had a great time! Congratulations to Meg Walker from the Beta Chi chapter for presenting with her vision team at the Visual Impairments in Infants and Toddlers workshop! Way to go! You and your vision team did a wonderful job presenting! :)

She will be a strong advocate for education. She spoke with me and Dr. Jessica Jones in her office for about 20 minutes.
