IOTA state members- Stephanie Brooks (Beta Chi chapter), Lisa Gehring (Omega chapter & former IOTA State Recording Secretary) and Meg Walker (Beta Chi chapter) of Delta Kappa Gamma were represented at the Creating Connections to Shining Stars 2019 conference this week. We had a great time! Congratulations to Meg Walker from the Beta Chi chapter for presenting with her vision team at the Visual Impairments in Infants and Toddlers workshop! Way to go! You and your vision team did a wonderful job presenting! :)

President of the Beta Chi chapter, Mrs. Stephanie Yates, awarded the beautiful homemade Fall wreathe that Beta Chi sister, Ms. Deborah Powell, made for our chapter to raffle at the IOTA State Executive Board meeting today. Delegate Cheryl B. Turpin, from Virginia Beach, made Time Magazine. She was very personable and told me she was on leave from teaching for three months until the House completes this season. She will be a strong advocate for education. She spoke with me and Dr. Jessica Jones in her office for about 20 minutes.
