Have a question or concern about your child's school experience? We are here to help.

The fastest way to get an answer or resolve an issue is to start directly at the school level. To help guide you, here is the step-by-step process outlined in Spotsylvania County Public Schools policy (KL-R and GBLA-R):

Step 1: Teacher
Start by contacting your child's teacher. Most classroom concerns can be resolved right here.

Step 2: Assistant Principal
If the issue remains unresolved, reach out to your child's assistant principal.

Step 3: Principal
If you still need assistance, contact your child's principal.

Step 4: Division Leadership
If the concern isn't resolved at the school level, contact the appropriate Director (Elementary, Middle, High, or Special Education).

Step 5: Chief Academic Officer
If division leadership is unable to resolve the matter, contact the Chief Academic Officer.

Step 6: Superintendent
If a resolution has not been reached through previous steps, contact the Office of the Superintendent.

At Freedom Middle School, literacy is at the heart of everything we do—and we mean everything! Even our Math department is getting in on the action!

We are beyond proud to celebrate our incredible Math 8 teacher, Brian Pulis, who officially published his brand-new techno-thriller novel, CARBON, this month!

It’s not every day our students get to learn equations from a published author! Mr. Pulis brings so much creativity, passion, and dedication to FMS both inside and outside the classroom. Seeing our educators lead by example and pursue big dreams inspires our entire school community to reach higher. We are so lucky to have him on our team!

Freedom Middle families, our Mega Blast Fall Fundraiser kicks off next Wednesday, and you can get started early right now to unlock amazing prizes!

How to Get Started in 5 Minutes:

1. Visit www.themegablast.com/join/FMS

2. Click 'Register' at the bottom of the page.

3. Enter 10 email addresses of friends and family who want to support.

Prizes and Incentives:

Lunchtime was extra special on Friday! We had so much fun handing out prizes to our amazing students who earned Pride Cards.

Our PBIS theme this month is demonstrating respect by showing kindness, and it has been wonderful seeing our students put this into practice every day. We cannot wait for next Friday to celebrate all the students who receive Pride Cards this week! Keep up the great work!

Tigers, it is time to celebrate your dedication. The Perfect Attendance Club for the month of August will be officially meeting on September 2nd, and we have an incredible afternoon planned just for you.

To celebrate your hard work and commitment, eligible students will get to experience an awesome Home Game Tailgate for our girls' soccer team!

Tailgate Highlights & Details

Food & Snacks: Enjoy delicious food on us.

Games & Fun: Hang out and play tailgate games with your peers.

Free Game Admission: Receive a free ticket to stay and cheer on our Tigers at the girls' soccer game.

Important Reminder: To stay after school for the tailgate and game, students must bring a note from a parent or guardian giving permission to stay.
