🚌 $20 Field Trip Credit Per Student: The PTA directly covers $20 for every single child at Hartwood to lower the cost of grade-level field trips for families.

Fifth ✋🏼 graders were pumped for the Harry Potter house ❤️💙💛💚reveal on Friday. They have been learning about teamwork 🤝 in class. Each student created their own square ▪️ as part of a grade level unity quilt. The quilt serves as a visual reminder that all students and all houses are part of one fifth grade team 🎉. While we all have unique character traits and abilities, we can work together to make Hartwood 💛💙🤍🐝 a better school community.

Meet Mrs. Mungo/Mrs. Potato Head 🥔

The past few days 📅 our Kindergarten Hornets 🐝 met our K-2 school counselor Mrs. Mungo and her friend Mrs. Potato Head. 🥔With each piece that was added to Mrs. Potato Head 🥔our Hornets 🐝 learned about the counselor's role and how she supports our students. She has:
👁️- to notice strong choices
👄- to smile and talk
✋- to hold or give a hug
👂- to listen

Our 🖐️th grade Hornets 🐝 were asked to share the best part of themselves. They chose a body part 👀👄🧠👣👃👂🦶🦵👁️that they felt proud of for all that it could do. Each 🖐️th grader wrote ✍️about why that body part is their favorite ♥️and how it helps them. We love 😍seeing how our Hornets 🐝 see themselves!

Happy Trail 🌳🌲🪵 Tuesday!

Hartwood Elementary PE has our Hornets 🐝 out on the Nature Trail this specials rotation soaking up the beautiful weather ☀️ Take a walk 🚶‍♀️/ run 🏃‍♂️ with Ms. Trento’s class on this beautiful morning!

Happy Friday Hornets 🐝!

We’ve had a blast 💥 with our Hornets 🐝 all five 🖐️ days this week! From the cafeteria 🍎 to the Nature Trail 🌳 and all the places in between, we sure love to see our Hornets 🐝 having fun 🤩 , learning 📝 and making friends 🤝!

On the ✌️nd day of school 🏫 we spotted 👀Hornet 🐝 artwork 🖼️ already hanging in the halls! At hARTwood we love ♥️ art!

Shoutout to Mrs. Mamon, our fantastic art teacher, for already filling the halls with student art 🎨! Our Hornet 1st grade artists 👨‍🎨 👩‍🎨 took on the challenge to make a line ✍️ and trace a line 🎨.
