The Conference has been dormant but now has a program coming in November with a member whose book is being published by a university press. If you've been published recently, lets see about doing a program with our group.

Mara and I are considering holding a meeting of the Conference. One of the reasons we quit having meetings was the pandemic, but the other was lack of good meeting space. When we started we used the University Center, which was free much of the time and a great space. That got complicated and expensive. Bars and restaurants usually are too loud for any kind of program. If you know of a good space let us know and we will set up a meeting. If you have not attended one of our meetings before, we usually have a writer as our speaker and then just talk about writing. Its been great fun and inspiration to keep writing.

Story From Jack Swanzy.

We had worked in a March meeting of the Conference but it didn’t materialize, just in time to be cancelled.

I come from people who anticipate the worst so this quarantine is right up my alley. My mother, every Sunday morning as we left for church, imagined she had left the iron on and that our house would go up in flames. I always assumed I would die young until I got too old to die young but I still have...
