Comfort Assured nurses aide training is a comprehensive program designed to prepare individuals to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic health care services. It prepares the individual to work as a nurse aide under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in a health care field, such as a nursing home, assisted living, hospital, home health care, and
any other employment requiring the role of a nurse aide. The program objectives (behavioral/learned)
1. The program will be consistent with the Virginia State Board of nursing requirements for nurse aide training.
2. The program will provide the knowledge and training needed and will focus on the competencies required of each student to successfully demonstrate in order to complete the program.
3. Student will be able to learn and perform behavioral/ learner's objectives for each unit of the following:
a. Classroom: Students will be competent in knowledge and skills
learned in taking care of a client. Skills laboratory: Students will be able to learn techniques of
observing, demonstrating, and return demonstration to gain
competence in the care of a client. Clinical experience with Instructor: Student will take the techniques
and the knowledge learned in the skills laboratory to the clinical
facility in order to gain confidence in taking care of clients. After the student has been able to receive a satisfactory passing grade in the program goals/objective, the student will be eligible to take the Virginia NNAAP Examination.
