Senior High students visited the State Capitol on a field trip last week, where they got an up-close look at how state laws are made. One highlight of the trip was the opportunity to stand on the Senate floor, giving students a firsthand experience of the legislative process. They were accompanied by Mrs. Ashworth, Mrs. Fennema, and Mrs. Iwan, along with several parent volunteers—Mr. and Mrs. Duff, Mr. Haas, Mr. Hinson, and Mrs. Pollard—to whom we are very grateful for their time and support in chaperoning the trip.

We recognize that many roads are still icy and unsafe, making it difficult and potentially dangerous for families and staff to get out. With temperatures expected to remain below freezing, we do not anticipate conditions improving enough to safely return to campus by Friday. Because of that, The Marshall School will be closed and students will have asynchronous workdays tomorrow and Friday. Thank you for your understanding.
