Meet the intern! Tabitha Robinson, UMW '24, is the Interreligious Dialogue Research Coordinator for the Khatib Program. She is a double major in English and Religious Studies and also works as the Opinion Editor for the Weekly Ringer . Her passion for communicating lofty ideas in a down-to-earth way, and her interest in fostering respect among members of different religions, led her to this program. In her free time, Tabitha loves thrifting, running, cooking, and watching the Golden Girls.

Dr. Mehdi Aminrazavi is the inaugural director of the Khatib Program! A native of Iran, Dr. Aminrazavi has been published in both Persian and English and translated from Persian and Arabic into English. He has received a number of awards in the United States and internationally and is a member of the American Academy of Religion, the American Philosophical Association, and the Middle Eastern Society of America. B.A., M.A., University of Washington; Ph.D., Temple University. He is also a favorite professor of Philosophy and Religion and Co-Director of the Leidecker Center for Asian Studies at Mary Wash.

Welcome everyone!! We are the Khatib Program in Religion and Dialogue at the University of Mary Washington. Our goal is to promote interreligious dialogue among UMW students, local faith leaders, and community members. We'll be hosting some events once the fall semester begins, so be sure to follow our Instagram, like our page, and share with your friends.
