🗳️📚 Learning about voting in first grade! 🇺🇸
Mrs. Speller’s first graders had so much fun learning about the voting process while reading Duck for President! 🦆📖 After reading the story, students held their very own class election and cast their votes for Farmer Brown or an animal for president. 🗳️🐄🐷🐴

It was a wonderful hands-on way to practice reading, learn about voting, and see democracy in action! ❤️🤍💙

Building stamina, one stride at a time ! 🏃 🏃‍♀️

Our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders have been working hard to improve their cardiorespiratory endurance by learning how to pace themselves while jogging. Students choose the level they want to work at, and those who complete the one song pacing challenge without walking get to proudly sign their grade-level Pacer Poster! ⭐️

We are so proud of their focus, determination & growing endurance❣️

What a wonderful way to start the school year! 💚🧡❤️💜 Today we held our first all-school House Meeting, welcoming and sorting our new students and kindergarteners into our four Houses.
💚 Green — Integrity
🧡 Orange — Courage
❤️ Red — Respect
💜 Purple — Kindness

We’re so excited to see our Houses grow, build friendships, and live out these important values together all year long! 🏫✨

Math is better when we can get hands-on! ✨

Mrs. Speller’s first graders practiced their math skills through part-part-whole problem solving and had fun playing a Bear Hiding Game with a partner! 🐻🔢 These engaging activities helped strengthen number sense, build problem-solving skills, and develop automaticity with math facts.

Learning + teamwork + a little fun = mathematical growth! ❤️📚➕

🎉 What a GREAT first week of school! 📚✏️

Our kindergartners jumped right into learning and worked hard on their math and writing skills. We are so proud of all their effort and excitement for learning! 💛

Our second graders had some fun with teamwork! 🤝🔬 Mrs. West’s class took on a group bonding science challenge to save Sammy the Worm! 🪱

Sammy can’t swim, his boat capsized, and he needed his life jacket—but there was a catch: no hands allowed! 😱 The students had to communicate, problem-solve, and work together to get Sammy safely into his life jacket. They had SO much fun while learning the importance of teamwork and collaboration! 🪱🛟💙

What a wonderful way to start the school year! We can’t wait to see what next week brings! 🍎✨
