🚨 Major Announcement 🚨

June 28th, we have athletes, coaches and management competing on the Hero’s on the Mat 8 card. This is a Military/Law Encorcement/First Responder only organization that empowers our nations hero’s to get tough, competitive matches in.

Starring in the Main Event of the evening, Enlisted Nines very own Colton Smith. Fighting for the Light Heavyweight title against a very skilled opponent! 🔥🔥

It doesn’t stop there, we also have Enlisted Nines Co-Owner Richard Pasinski jumping into the mix as well as one of Enlisted Nines black belts, Reese Hankins!

Continuing on with a stacked roster, HQ’s very own Nick Hunt is moving up a belt division to go against a talented black belt.

Coach Tess Nugier jumping right back into yet another super fight not even a month after her last one to test her abilities.

We also have other enlisted nine practitioners scheduled to compete during like Dustin Wagner from Disciple 9, NC this event so stay tuned for those announcements 🔥🔥

The day after winning in the cage, its business as usual for “Beefcake”, back in the room with DMV legend Elijah "The Hero" Harshbarger in the AM and then at HQ in PM sharpening his tools and broadening his game. Followed by some much needed Karate Kid “Wash on, Wash off” on the mats…

Huge respect to BFFC for putting on another great event this past weekend. The matches were exciting, the atmosphere was outstanding, and our team was proud to be a part of it.

That said, it’s always interesting to see and hear how much effort some teams put into managing matchups. Opponents declined. Opponents changed. Last-minute withdrawals. Requests for different opponents or change of rulesets last minute. Athletes showing up significantly overweight. Attempts to hand-pick favorable matches.

At Enlisted Nine Fight Company, we simply don’t operate that way.

If our name is on the list, we’re competing.

We don’t spend our time searching for the easiest path. We don’t need perfect circumstances. We don’t need carefully curated opponents. We don’t need supposed “guarantees”. It’s a darn grappling match for GOD’s sake.

Our athletes routinely step onto the mat against competitors who are younger, bigger, stronger, “more experienced” on paper, or have more accolades. Sometimes we win. Sometimes we learn. But we always show up.

Because that’s what martial arts is supposed to be.

The goal isn’t to protect records. The goal is to test yourself.

Win or lose, we want the challenge.

The culture we’re building isn’t based on cherry-picking opponents—it’s built on courage, accountability, and a willingness to step forward when your name is called.

At Enlisted Nine, we don’t ask “Who can we beat?”

We ask, “Who’s next?”
