Honey Super Removal Day 2026

Comment your guess on how many pounds we'll harvest this year. We won't know until we're back to school in the fall. Closest without going over will win a free bottle of honey.

We got an early start to beat the heat. Removed 14 supers to store for the fall. Thanks to Dave, Gabby and Leah for their help today!

We had a couple surprises...a success story from a nuc we made this spring and a queen that somehow ended up under the hive.

This year marks our 10th harvest!

Thank you Frederick and surrounding areas! You continue to amaze us with your support. Whether you've been with us for one season or 16, you spent $3 or $300, each one of you make an impact on student learning. You provide real-world experiences for students.

The greenhouse is closed for the 2026 season with the exception of a couple custom orders. What happens now? Delaney will be at the Frederick Plant Swap on Mother's Day for the Frederick Plant Swap, we'll donate some items to our community partners and students will each take home a box of plants.

We'll finish out the school year finalizing the landscape at the student house project, finish preparations for industry certifications, and install a cutting garden.

Certification update: 16 students have completed telehandler certification. Thanks Rentals Unlimited for your support!

Oh, and Wednesday we hope to install the plants at the student house project. Just in time for the open house from 4-6pm on May 6th.

students will be here with fun activities for the kids...chalk art, coloring, story time and make your own pinwheel.

At 10am, join Frederick County Master Gardener, Pat Strawder for her workshop Pollinators ❤️ Herbs. Workshop participants will receive a $10 off coupon for the greenhouse.
