One Month Away: Fairways for the Future Golf Tournament Set for Sept. 4

There is still time to register for the inaugural Fairways for the Future – FCC Athletics Golf Tournament on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Maryland National Golf Club.

Hosted by Frederick Community College Athletics, the tournament will raise funds for student-athlete scholarships while bringing together alumni, community members, business partners, and friends for a day on the course.

Registration is $200 per golfer and includes breakfast, lunch, practice facility access, 18 holes of golf with cart, golfer gifts, and more.

Schenzel hopes to wake "sleeping giant" as new FCC men's basketball coach In their battles on the hardwood, Jack Schenzel always had an eye on Frederick Community College men's basketball.

Hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence are opening new doors for FCC student-athlete and recent graduate Ethan Duff.

Last month, Ethan graduated from FCC with an associate degree in business management. He will continue his academic and athletic journey at the University of Arkansas Little Rock on a full Division I baseball scholarship.

A standout right-handed pitcher, Ethan has balanced the demands of collegiate athletics while achieving success in the classroom. His perseverance, resilience, and dedication have helped him reach this exciting milestone.

"Ethan represents exactly what we strive for in our student athletes—excellence in the classroom and on the field," said FCC Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach Rodney Bennett.
