The Rivera family has given me permission to share part of their story for Matteo, the little brother of one of our first graders Leonardo. Matteo has just turned three and has been in the hospital since March 12. The family has watched him go through so much and are still waiting for answers. He is currently "unresponsive and so far still has only been able to open his eye lids with some lip movement."
What I love about our faith community is the belief in the power of prayer. The following has been shared by the family as an organized day of prayer for Matteo:

🙏🏼 On March 25th, we will be united in fasting and prayer for little Matteo.

A small body…
a great battle…
and a God who is still the same:
The Great Physician. Lord of the impossible.

Maybe you have never seen Matteo.
But heaven sees him.
And every prayer reaches Him.

📖 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

💔 A family is waiting.
🙏🏼 Heaven is attentive.
✨ And you can be part of this miracle.

👉 Set apart this day.
👉 Choose a time to fast.
👉 Lift up a cry.

Because when the church comes together…
the impossible begins to lose its strength.

🔥 March 25th will not be just a day…
it will be an altar.

We are so proud of our middle school students! On January 10th, 2026 we had two groups who were leading out at Frederick Seventh-day Adventist Church. One group lead the congregation for song service and the second group lead song service for SHINE, the name of the once a month Children's Church. Blessed to have young people who are willing to use their talents for God!

The Re-enrollment event for Saturday, January 31st has been canceled. Families may start enrolling online, February 2, 2026. The HandS team will make an announcement for another fun night for our FAAmilies and those interested in enrolling soon!

Due to the inclement weather Frederick Adventist Academy will be operating under a 2-hour delay. Doors will open at 10 am with no before care. Conditions will be re-evaluated this morning if the weather does not improve.
