Huzzah! The highly anticipated occasion at FCCS had arrived – the Second Grade Royal Feast!

Students arrived in their finest medieval attire, enjoying a delightful meal served by charming wenches. They were entertained by jugglers, live music, and heartfelt songs, all while honoring their Queens.

What an incredible day at FCCS! We celebrated our very first Senior Clap Out, where our remarkable seniors took a final stroll through the halls of FCCS, receiving cheers and applause from everyone! We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and can’t wait to see all the fantastic achievements that lie ahead for them. This year’s senior class includes some of the very first students from FCCS’s inaugural kindergarten class!

Additionally, we hosted a delightful Kindergarten Graduation and are excited to see these young scholars return as first graders next year.

A heartfelt thank you to all the graduating seniors who came back to visit us. Remember, you will always hold a special place in the FCCS family!

Penny Wars!

This exciting event was hosted by our NJHS scholars, who worked hard to organize, promote, and manage the competition throughout the week in order to benefit Blessings in a Backpack Frederick Chapter. A huge THANK YOU to First United Bank for their incredible support during our Penny Wars fundraiser.

We are especially grateful to Jacob Kuninger and the team at First United Bank for assisting with our daily deposits throughout the competition. Handling thousands of coins and donations each day is no small task, and your patience, professionalism, and partnership helped make the event run smoothly from start to finish.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Shellie Stoner, who faithfully delivered the deposits to the bank each morning. Your dedication and willingness to help behind the scenes played an important role in the success of this fundraiser.

The success of this event hinged on the generosity of the families who stepped up to support us. Thanks to your contributions and the dedication of our talented scholars, we can make a meaningful impact for a worthy cause. We are also deeply appreciative of our community partners and volunteers, whose commitment and hard work are vital for events like Penny Wars to take place. Your time, effort, and encouragement for our scholars truly make a difference.

The yearly FCCS End of the Year Picnic was a fantastic event! With delicious food, exciting games, and plenty of laughter, everyone enjoyed themselves! It was a joy to have scholars, families, staff, and alumni unite to commemorate a wonderful year at FCCS. Many thanks to Domino's Pizza for your generous donation and support. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible Social Committee and all the volunteers who contributed to making this event a success!

History came to life for our fourth-grade scholars during their recent adventure to the historic Monocacy National Battlefield!

After learning about the Battle of Monocacy in the classroom, scholars had the exciting opportunity to stand on the very ground where history unfolded. As they explored the battlefield, they stepped into the shoes of Civil War soldiers, participated in an infantry drill, toured the museum’s fascinating exhibits, learned the process of firing an authentic Civi War cannon, and discovered the important role this battle played in shaping our nation’s history.

A special thank you to Mrs. Shea and Mrs. Robinson for coordinating this incredible field trip and providing our scholars with the opportunity to experience history beyond the classroom walls!

Our fourth-grade scholars wrapped up their exciting journey through Ancient Greece with an unforgettable Greek Festival!

The day was filled with history, culture, and fun as students, teachers, and volunteers transformed into ancient Greeks, dressing in traditional attire and stepping back in time. Scholars tested their skills in Olympic-inspired events, including the Javelin Throw, Long Jump, and Discus.

The celebration wasn’t complete without a taste of Greece, as everyone enjoyed a variety of delicious Greek foods.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Shea, Mrs. Robinson, and our incredible volunteers for bringing history to life and creating such a memorable experience for our scholars.
