The Class of the classes graduating from TJ!

We’ve just learned that Robin Keeny (Lantz) passed away today.

Only thirteen days ago, she learned she was facing metastatic melanoma… and now, far too quickly, she is gone.

For those of us who walked the halls of Governor Thomas Johnson High School Class of 1972 together, news like this lands differently. It isn’t just the loss of a name—it’s the loss of a chapter we all shared. A hallway conversation. A laugh we can still hear if we listen closely enough.

Each time we lose one of our own, the circle tightens. The room grows quieter. And yes… the rest of us become a little smaller.

Take a moment tonight to remember Robin—who she was, how she showed up in your story, even in the smallest way. Those memories are now part of the legacy she leaves behind.

Hold your friends and family a little closer. Time, as we are reminded once again, is not promised.

Rest peacefully, Robin. You will not be forgotten.

The Governor Thomas Johnson High School Class of 1972 has always shared a rare and lasting bond. Our 50th reunion in 2022 reminded us just how strong that connection remains, and since then, those who can have continued to gather each fall to celebrate friendship and share the stories of our lives over the past year. Though we’ve lost many dear classmates along the way, their memories are kept alive through our laughter, reflections, and the deep sense of community that still binds us.

This year is especially meaningful — each of us turns 72, just like the class we proudly represent. It’s a true joy to come together with the friends who helped shape our earliest years and who continue to remind us that time may pass, but genuine connection never fades.

Cindy Cutsail from the GTJHS Class of 1975 recently sent me this message and asked me to share it as widely as possible:

Good morning Hugh hope you are well. FYI, in case you haven't noticed, when I sent out the reminder invites for the TJ class of 75 reunion this September, I tagged you as point of contact for your class hoping your friends would see this or if you have a separate list of your classmates that you could share with them.

Alumni are invited for our events 1 which is golfing and event 2 the Social alumni gathering at the Elks club with Park Avenue band and appetizers for $30 per person.

This is an addition to me posting on the Facebook group pages TJ Social club, class of 75, class is 74. Class of 73 has been taken care as Jean has posted it on their website. If you have a list/website to contact your Class and you could send info to them this way and then I can untag you, your call. xoxo

I apologize that I did not request your permission before I posted, but I can always untag you if you would like.

We are just trying to get the word out for our reunion and you know, when you have planned your reunions, informing classmate/alumni is very important for attendance.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Cindy Cutsail, Todd Crum, Bruce Reeder, Jeff Comer, Nancy Doll, Chip Carpenter, Byron Moore.

GTJHS Class of 72 - 50th Reunion Friday, September 16, 2022 Springfield Manor Winery

Good morning, yesterday
You wake up and time has slipped away
And suddenly it's hard to find
The memories you left behind
Remember, do you remember?
The laughter and the tears
The shadows of misty yesteryears
The good times and the bad you've seen
And all the others in between
Remember, do you remember
The times of your life?
