Member Spotlight: Casey Day

We’re excited to highlight Casey Day, who teaches at Brunswick High School and coaches the school’s Robotics Team.

Under Casey’s leadership, the Brunswick Robotics Team qualified for the World Robotics Competition in Houston, where they placed 5th in their division. This result ranks them in the top 10% at the championship and the top 4% of teams worldwide.

Casey’s dedication to STEM education, innovation, and student achievement continues to make a lasting impact in and beyond the classroom.

Congratulations to Casey and the whole Brunswick Robotics Team on this amazing achievement.

Yesterday, we wrapped up our final Rep Meeting of the school year with an evening of important union business, recognition, and celebration.

We honored Alicia Souder, FCPS Teacher of the Year, and recognized Eliza Stitley and Mary Ellen Wolfinger as Building Reps of the Year. We also celebrated our retiring building reps and thanked them for their years of advocacy, leadership, and commitment to colleagues and our union. Toni Border, who is also retiring, was recognized for her eight years of dedicated service as Treasurer.

Thank you to our Building Reps, Board of Directors, Officers, UniServ Directors, and Office Staff. Your dedication and hard work continue to strengthen our union and help us move forward together in support of educators and students. Your voice. Your power. Our union.
