These tours will include a 30-minute overview of our school and program followed by a 30-minute tour of our beautiful location.

🎒 Monocacy Valley Montessori Public Charter School is excited to invite prospective families to our upcoming school tours for all interested students entering Prek – 11th grade in Fall 2025. You will have the chance to explore our campus and learn about the exceptional program we offer. This is a wonderful opportunity for families considering our school to get a feel for our vibrant community and see firsthand what makes our school so special.

MVMPCS is the only charter school program in the county to expand to include high school. MVMPCS was started over 20 years ago, and any student that resides in Frederick county can apply for open spots through the lottery which will be open in January through March 11 (https://mmcimd.org/enrollment/).

Frederick County Charter Schools File Petition to State Board of Education for Equitable Funding.
The petition seeks to address the inequitable funding formula adopted by FCPS, which withholds 25% of the funds intended for our charter schools. This reduction significantly impacts our ability to provide high-quality education and maintain necessary resources for our students.

The petition seeks to address the inequitable funding formula adopted by FCPS, which withholds 25% of the funds intended for our charter schools. This reduction significantly impacts our ability to provide high-quality education and maintain necessary resources for our students. We believe that this funding model contradicts state laws and the principles of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, which aims to ensure that financial resources follow the students.

THE LOTTERY IS OPEN at the following FCPS Montessori charter schools to county residents for the 2025 school year:
⭐️Carroll Creek Montessori Public Charter School (CCMPCS), ages 3 through grade 8
⭐️Monocacy Valley Montessori Public Charter School (MVMPCS), ages 3 through grade 10th grade
Applications are online: https://mmcimd.org/enrollment/

The lottery deadline is Friday, March 11, 11:59 p.m. The lottery will be held electronically at the end of March. RESULTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE ONLY!
To enter the lottery, applicants must:
1) Create an account
2) Complete applications for ALL children and select one or both school lotteries for each child.
3) Include complete and accurate profile* information
4) Ensure that the application or edits are saved/submitted.
Incomplete applications will not be included in either lottery. Application status is available in your online account.
