WIPs from my Throw and Sculpt class! The spring class session goes live Monday at 9am- be there or be square! 🥳

Classes are NOT cancelled today, Thursday December 22!! It is wet and yucky out but the roads are clear and the temperatures are rising! That said if it’s worse where you are or you’re nervous to drive, please do not!! There are tons of makeup class options available- either in another class, or open studio, all the way through the next session (into February!) Be safe and stay warm, and I hope to see you today if you can make it in!!

The January session of classes is now available for registration!! We are so thrilled to be offering a new class, Intro to Sculpture: from form to finish with the incredible Leslie King ! This class is suitable for students who are brand new to sculpture (or have some experience) and will focus on sculpting the features of the face, head, and body. We also have a brand new Throw and Sculpt class that I’ll be teaching, and another session of the coveted Woodfiring class with Tim Sherman as well!! It’s an action packed new year!!! We have some other big plans in the works too… you’ll just have to wait and see what comes next! See you around the studio!!

Tammy has been interning with me here at Frederick Clay Studio all year, learning all about clay and pottery- a program which has culminated in this amazing solo show! Spotted 👀 in the studio today! How amazing are these?! I am so inspired by seeing what people come up with 😍 it’s break week and we have over FIFTY hours of open studio coming up! I’ll be there- will you?!

Porcelain ornaments or delicious cookies? ❄️I piped these by hand yesterday, by the dozens! That red looking slip will be blue after it’s fired 🤯 can’t believe it’s almost the holidays but I did have fun with these!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Sidewalk Sale yesterday!! You all made this one of our best ones yet, and I had so much fun doing throwing demos outside I thought I’d do it again today!
