✏️🌈 It’s hard to believe that Monday is the first day of school!

Please help us welcome our students back in a fun and colorful way by joining us this Sunday for Chalk the Walk!

Bring your own chalk, your creativity and plenty of positive vibes! Feel free to decorate the sidewalks:

🖍️ From the main office through the parent pickup area
🖍️ Along the side of the building where Kindergarten is/bus arrival and departure takes place

Please keep all artwork on the sidewalks only. Do not draw anywhere on the school building.

Let’s fill the sidewalks with fun pictures, positive messages and welcoming words for our students to see when they arrive on their first day! We can’t wait to see your creativity! 🎨✨

Hello Parents,

It has been brought to our attention that some NHUF families may be bringing yellow raffle tickets into local businesses, specifically 4 Scoops, and attempting to exchange them for free ice cream.

We wanted to clarify that these raffle tickets were only used for the 5th Grade Party gift card raffle. Students placed their tickets into raffle bags for a chance to win physical gift cards that were awarded during the event. At no time were students told that raffle tickets could be redeemed at any business for free products or services.

To avoid any confusion, please note that raffle tickets from the 5th Grade Party should not be brought into businesses in exchange for anything, and local businesses will not be honoring them.

Thank you so much for your understanding and help in clearing up any confusion!

What an incredible day for our 5th graders! ☀️🎉

The weather cooperated and the kids had an absolute blast. From yearbook signing, kickball, tug of war, and soccer to music, a gift card raffle, tons of snacks and drinks, water ice from Four Scoops (they are awesome! If you haven’t stopped by there, you should!) and pizza from our favorite local spot, Peppes.

These kids are so lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful community. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this event possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

And thank you to all of the parents for your incredibly generous donations. Your support helped make this day extra special and memorable.

What a perfect day and a wonderful way to celebrate our 5th graders! ❤️ ☀️

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight for the 5th Grade Social! We hope your kids had an amazing time and made some great memories with their friends.

A huge thank you goes out to all of the parents who helped make this event possible. Whether you helped decorate, helped with setup, chaperoned, ran games, served food, DJ’d or stayed to help clean up, your time and support were truly appreciated.

Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without volunteers who are willing to jump in and help. We are so grateful for our wonderful school community and for everyone who helped make our first ever 5th Grade Social such a fun and successful night!

Thank you for helping us send our soon to be middle schoolers off with a night full of laughter, music, games, and memories! 💚✨🎉

✨ Reminders for tonight’s 5th Grade Social! ✨

The social starts at 6:00 PM. Doors will not open before then, so please form a line outside the front office doors.

Pickup is at 8:00 PM. Please try to be on time when picking up your student. Only one parent should come inside for pickup.

It’s glow themed, so students are welcome to wear something that will glow under the black lights!

Hot dogs, snacks, drinks, and candy will be provided for the kids.

We can’t wait to see everyone tonight for our first ever 5th Grade Social! 💛

Hello Parents,

As you all know, the 5th Grade Social is being held this Friday night in the all purpose room. Please fill out this form if anyone aside from you will be picking up your child. For example if a neighbor, friend, grandparent, etc will be there to pick up at the end of the evening.

Reminder: this is a drop off event.

Drop off at 6:00 pm.

Pickup at 8:00 pm.

Only one responsible adult should enter to pick up the student.

We have an abundance of chaperones and also security for the event!

🌟 Thank you SO much to everyone who has signed up for the 5th Grade Party to send in gift cards, food, and snacks. It is all so appreciated! 🌟

It looks like we are all set on food and drink donations, which is absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for helping make that happen.

We could still use a few more $10 gift cards for the raffle. Specifically, we are looking for places like Walmart, Target, 5 Below, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. One or two more from Bruster’s, Dairy Queen, or 4 Scoops would also be great but we are absolutely open to any other fun ideas you may have outside of the list as well! If you can grab any cards, please let me know! You can either drop them off in the office this week or I can try to arrange to pick them up from you.

Lastly, it appears all volunteer spots for the day have been filled (THANK YOU!!) except for one final spot where we could use help facilitating the soccer games.

Otherwise, I’m honestly overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity and willingness to help make this such a special day for our future middle schoolers. We truly have such an amazing community of parents.

Please let me know if you’re able to assist with any of the above and thank you again to everyone who has already donated and signed up to help in so many ways! 🎉
