Transform Mid-Atlantic Transform Mid-Atlantic promotes the development of global citizens and just communities in Maryland, D.C., Delaware, and beyond.

The Transform Mid-Atlantic is a non-profit membership association of public, private, 2- and 4-year colleges and universities. Transform provides leadership to colleges and universities in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Delaware, by advocating, supporting, and encouraging institutional participation in academic and co-curricular based public service and civic engagement programs. Transform strengthens the capacity of member institutions to enhance student learning and to meaningfully engage with communities. Transform is supported through a combination of institutional dues, federal and private grants, and in-kind contributions. The Transform office is housed by Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

Their roundtable, “Co-Creating Community Impact: Ikigai, Social Impact, and University–Community Partnerships,” draws on UDC's free tax clinic to explore how universities can build reciprocal community partnerships, using the Japanese concept of Ikigai as a guiding framework.
