Down and Dirty
What has zero meaning to the majority of those reading it, was extremely helpful in the early stages of a tough fire last week in 11’s area.
Initial crews drew a rudimentary diagram of the interior layout on the side of a ladder truck positioned adjacent to one of the points of entry. This helped guide crews into the seat of the fire through a complicated floor plan in zero visibility conditions until a tag line could be established.
It’s not dumb if it works.
