We're to have received a $1 million grant from the Maryland Department of Commerce in support of the Ruth Whitaker Holmes ’55 Endowed Nurse Practitioner Chair position.
The position will ensure Hood students in graduate nursing and counseling programs can meet the complex demands of modern healthcare and are prepared for long-term career success.

Hood Health Hubs will provide community-based access points for individuals to share health concerns so that risks and barriers can be identified, prevention and early detection of chronic disease can be prioritized, and population health action plan measures may be met.
