Hello Classmates,
Please take time to read, this contains a lot of important info.
As you know we have begun planning our 50th Class Reunion. We have had two meetings so far. We are reaching out on our page to get and feedback from all of you on any ideas for the events. We have chosen the dates for the Happy Hour on Friday Oct. 1st, 2027, from 6-10pm and the Dinner on Sat. Oct. 2nd, 2027 from 6-10pm. The times of the events can be adjusted but fees maybe more if we extend the hours beyond those hours. The pricing for the events will be determined once we do the final bookings. The method of payment will also be determined then.
We are looking at several places for the Happy Hour. We are looking at ones with both food & a full bar set up. This event will be a cash food & bar event only. We are looking at Monocacy Brewing (which also has live music), Capital Crave (the old VFW on Alt. 40) and Frederick Social in downtown Frederick. (This is a newer venue so once Happy Hour has finished downtown is still open to visit). If you have any ideas on other venues let us know on the email address below.
For our Dinner we have received info from Dutches Daughter, Frederick Elks, Brunswick Eagles and waiting on a response from the Frederick American Legion. The dinner will be included in our price but it will be a cash bar only.

Our goal is to get as many of you involved because this is an important event for all of us. We want to have two very memorable events and enjoy ourselves. I remember years ago when Beth & Kathy planning our reunion we worried about the food and venues and Sue Winter said “ No one is really going to remember what we ate and where we may have eaten it, they’re going to remember being together.” That is really what is most important to us. Those words are very true.
We are looking into lining up a hotel or two to block rooms at. We have also discussed some legacy donations to the school from our class. We are trying to locate our teachers and staff members to invite to the events. Our main focus is to get as many classmates together for these events as possible, so if you see anyone of our class in your travels please let them know and give them our FB page or email info. If you have any further suggestions let us know.

We need to get your responses back by 9/23/24 in time for our next meeting. That meeting will be at Monocacy Brewery on Thursday 9/24/2026 at 6:00 pm. So far turn out has been great and we appreciate all that have shown up to help.
