What do you need in order to do this mom thing well everyday?
For me, I need to shower every day, sometimes twice. Something about a shower just makes me feel more human. More like Rebeccah. And I’m not going to lie I love that I’m in an enclosed space where no one can touch me for 10 minutes 😂
It’s important for all of us to find the one activity we can do if even for 5 minutes everyday to keep our sanity, our peace, our humanness so we can live to fight another day.
What is that for you? Tell me in the comments.

6 years married to my forever love.
The relationship with your spouse or partner is one of the most complex and interesting relationships I believe a person will have in their life. Most love that you have in your life is automatic- your parents, siblings, your children.
But your spouse- you chose that love and it wasn’t engrained in you. Which makes it that much more special and also that much more effort to maintain. When people told me marriage takes work I never quite understood but 6 years, and 3 kids later I get it.
It’s work to love someone through their hard and ugly and mean and struggle. It’s work to heal your own trauma and scars and ugly so that you can be an effective partner. It’s work to stay connected romantically when you’re exhausted from children. It’s work to just love someone else some days.
But like any work that is meaningful, loving the person you chose is incredibly rewarding and fills your soul and heart up in a way only satisfying work can. And it’s worth the effort every time.
How long have you been with your partner? What have you learned along the way?

Can anyone else relate? 😂
Here’s hoping you get some time to just chill out this weekend mama. Even if just for 15 minutes. To just rest and be and recharge.
Do any of you have relaxation plans this weekend?

If ever I were to write a book it would be called “Mommy is going to do this alone… and other fables of motherhood.”
Anyone else able to co-author this? 😂

Being a stay at home mom can be really hard sometimes.
It can feel isolating, overwhelming, and neverending. There’s no time off, no break time (unless you count hiding in the bathroom) and you’re at both your work and your home at all times. It’s easy to get lost in your home and your kids. And some days I long for the hustle and bustle of being a principal again- even though, let’s be honest, being a working mom is just as hard.
However, what I’ve come to appreciate in my last 18 months of being home with my kids is the beautiful gift of time watching them grow in this special stage. That piece is never lost on me- how I’m there for all their small and big moments.
Today I got to see my babies explore the creek and watch their joy and wonder as they discovered the world. One day, when I’m back to the work grind, I know I’ll look back and feel nothing but gratitude for the time.
It truly is a gift. A messy, imperfect, rollercoaster, mental bear of a gift, but a gift all the same.

Sisqo’s high notes hit different when you’re a stressed out mom. Am I right or am I right?

Tuesday reminder. We all have agreements in our brains of who we are and what we’re supposed to be that we have mostly accepted unconsciously and ingrained them into our being.
Agreements that stop us from trying new things, getting healthy, feeling confident, speaking our truth, living our joy.
Agreements that we can’t, aren’t enough, are too fat, too small, too dumb, too lazy, too shy, too busy.
But the really cool thing about those agreements is that they’re not carved in stone and we can break them and create new ones. Agreements that satisfy our truest selves and embody who we want to be rather than who we’ve been told to be.
Break those limited beliefs and as Rose would tell you, tell them to kick rocks with an open toed sandal.

With 3 small kids, a business, and a husband who travels a lot, I love a good hack. Something to save me some time and energy throughout the day and give me some sanity.
However, I think we’ve gotten too caught up in the quick and easy tips and tricks and have forgotten the very important idea of “slow down to speed up”
Building a new habit, routine, lifestyle, way of eating takes time and dedication. Sure there are tips on how to make it more manageable and sustainable, but any habit or routine that will eventually truly make your life more enjoyable, whole, and free flowing, doesn’t come in the form of a 5 minute hack.
It comes in the form of you sticking with something for long enough that it becomes automatic and you no longer have to dedicate all your time and energy to it; and then you get to dedicate that energy to something you love.
So take the time to build the healthy habits. Trust me, once they’re the foundation and not the mountain, you’ll be able to climb where you actually want to be.
What habits are you working to ingrain into your life?

Happy Father’s Day to my favorite guy! The one who makes this mothering thing funnier, lighter, and filled with more love and support than I could ever ask for. Happy Father’s Day to all the men out there doing their very best to love and support and uplift their partners and children ❤️
