Worried about MOLD???

Mold 08/08/2025

TITLE: Patience Is The Key

As a former DHHS clinician safe member and now the Acting Deputy Director of Integrative Health, a continually trained survivor, as a chemically sensitized induvial, as a parent who has had three children who suffer with mold sensitivity, and as a proud advocate for indoor environmental change I am so happy to share this post on a personal level.

After a waited time period.. the National Institute of Health (NIH) has published and now in recent update acknowledged what more and more clinicians, researchers, and survivors have known for years: environmental toxins like mold and mycotoxins can contribute to serious health consequences, to include such as neurological, respiratory, cancer and immune system dysfunction.

As a integrative public education health professional, if I could provide a simple summary explanation of the importance of indoor air quality such may go a little something like this:

Our human bodies can survive on average three weeks without food, three days without water, but only three minutes without air. Sadly on a personal note I have experienced all three with loved ones to include my late dear spouse.

Interesting thing about hierarchy the willingness of human survival and the reason air quality must be treated as a top public health priority.

International statistics have proven via multiple trial studies that the average human ( OK I still want a professional description of average human but that a discussion for another day and post) will spend 90% of their/our lives in an indoor living and/or professional environment, and thus, one must be safe.

Is this long-overdue recognition by the NIH, that answer would be yes, though just as we started this post and such the title Patience is the Key. This is a major and critical step forward in validating the lived experiences of those affected and in shaping policies that prioritize prevention, assessment, and accountability.

Let's what next steps are coming to include...

We will share with you in another post about a medical peered review field trial study that is being conducted for mycotoxin exposure. If you curious and made it to the end of this post comment More Information and I will send you a Direct Message for discussion.
