Thermal Imaging can be a great tool to help detect excess heat. What does that mean? It could be inflammation or infection. I sometimes use it as an aide in detecting specific soreness/pain areas or patterns.

This "Before" image shows a diagonal pattern (left hind to front right) of the most affected area which is the darkest colors (dark red/black). I could tell when massaging the horse that these areas were holding the most tension.

Even though I can see and feel that tension is released and the muscles are softer, this "After" image was extra fascinating! It shows as an extra visual that the massage was beneficial in relieving any heat/inflammation in those dark areas. So rewarding 🥰
