Free Breakfast & Lunch for All Students!

Michigan is continuing its commitment to providing free breakfast and lunch to all students during the 2026–27 school year!

While meals are free for all students, we still encourage every family to complete the Education Benefits Form: https://fraser.familyportal.cloud/. Completing the form helps Fraser receive additional funding and resources that support all students and schools.

Meal reminder: A required component of a complete breakfast and lunch is ½ cup of fruit or vegetables, which must be taken with the meal for it to be free of charge.

Find menus, meal information, and more details about what qualifies as a free meal on our website, https://www.fraser.k12.mi.us/programs/food-service.

Welcome Back, Fraser Staff!

Fraser High School was filled with smiles, hugs, and conversation as all staff returned from summer break.

Dr. Wozniak opened the school year with the simple but powerful message: Your leadership matters. She encouraged every staff member to look for the moments when students, colleagues and others are making a difference this year: to take the time to tell someone when they're making a positive impact, and to celebrate when someone is at their best and help them recognize their contributions.

We bring out the best in each other. Dr. Wozniak challenged everyone to carry this message into the new school year.

Congratulations, Ms. James!

Congratulations to Fraser paraeducator Michelle James, recipient of the 2026 Leon A. Brunner Award, MEA’s highest honor for an Education Support Professional! 👏

For 16 years, Michelle has advocated for students, strengthened her union and made sure ESP voices are heard — because, as she says, “our perspective matters.”

Student Cell Phone & Personal Device Expectations

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Fraser Public Schools is reminding families that, in accordance with state law and district policy, personal wireless devices must be stored away and out of sight during the school day.

This includes cell phones, smartwatches, smart glasses, earbuds, tablets, and other personal devices.

The goal is simple: improved focus, reduced distractions, and engaged learning.

Exceptions apply for medical needs, IEP/504 accommodations, approved instructional use, school-issued devices, specific academic assignments, and emergencies.

Families are encouraged to review these expectations with their students before the first day of school.

Congratulations to Fraser elementary art teacher Andrew Monroe on earning Best in Show at the 62nd Annual Michigan Education Association & Michigan Art Education Association Art Acquisitions Purchase Awards Exhibition!

The statewide exhibition showcased artwork created by educators from across Michigan in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and jewelry.

Mr. Monroe's charcoal drawing titled “Eyedentity,” was inspired by the application to get his newborn baby a Social Security card more than 20 years ago.

We're proud to have such talented educators inspiring creativity in our classrooms every day. Congratulations, Mr. Monroe, on this well-deserved recognition!
