UPDATE: Due to the weather tonight’s Friday Night Live will take place at The Proving Grounds Coffee & Ice Cream Shop in downtown Milford. The concert will start at 6:30.

Young Nashville artist opens 2021 Friday Night Live concert series

Lisa Mary, a 23-year-old award-winning singer, songwriter and Nashville recording artist who’s been turning heads in the country music world, will open the Friday Night Live Music Series in Center Street Park on Main Street in downtown Milford from 7-9 p.m. May 28.

Noted for her powerful voice, honest music and her electric stage performance, the country singer was 16 when she put out "Shades of Blue"; she earned an award for the single “Tie Her Down,” which she accepted at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

Since then, she’s toured the nation, opening for major country artists including Toby Keith, Chris Young, LOCASH, Uncle Kracker, Eric Paslay, Love & Theft, Drew Baldridge, Jackie Lee, Jason Michael Carroll, and more.

The series features three other performances, all of which take place on Fridays from 7-9 p.m. The Cass Saxophone Quartet plays June 25. Friday Night Live welcomes back The Bugs Beddow Band July 30. Tentatively, Pam Jaslove also returns to the stage with “Jazz in the D” August 27.

Milford Downtown Development Authority and Huron Valley Council for the Arts jointly present the popular Friday Night Live Concert Series; the concert will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move into the nearby Milford Presbyterian Church.

Based in western Oakland County, Huron Valley Council for the Arts is committed to working with and supporting activities of established and aspiring visual and performing artists and organizations located in and around western Oakland County. For more information, please visit huronvalleyarts.org
