Please welcome Ms. Brandee Pruitt to AAW!

I’m Ms. Brandee your new Office Director! I have over 20 years of office admin experience and love working with kids. So much so, that I work with AAW kids during the day and the Detroit Youth Choir in the evenings! I look forward to making sure that our scholars and their families have a successful and productive school year. Stop by the office and say hi!

Attention theater majors!

Case Western in Cleveland has extended this offer to our students:

Greetings from Case Western Reserve University! Your students are invited to join us for one of Case Western Reserve University Theater Department's Theater Weekends, which are being held in person October 2-3 and November 13-14.
Theater Weekend offers prospective student performers, directors, designers, technicians and stage managers a chance to be considered for full- and partial-tuition scholarships by performing a monologue or presenting a portfolio for CWRU Theater faculty.

Theater Weekend
October 2-3 or November 13-14
Theater Weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a meet-and-greet with faculty and students, followed by a workshop as well as a tour of our new state-of-the-art theater, The Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center. Students also have the option of observing theater classes on Friday morning.

On Saturday, students will audition and interview for the scholarships in the morning, tour campus and visit the dining hall in the afternoon, and attend a CWRU Department of Theater mainstage production that evening.
Registration: https://go.case.edu/portal/theater-events

Each year, CWRU’s Theater Department awards four full-tuition scholarships to incoming students who wish to major in theater, and two $10,000 merit scholarships to students who wish to minor in theater, or pursue as an extracurricular. For more information, see CWRU theater scholarships https://theater.case.edu/academic-programs/undergraduate-scholarships/

Case Western Reserve offers an outstanding theater program for undergraduate students, including courses in acting technique, musical theater, movement, voice, stagecraft, costume design, scenic design, directing, playwriting, sketch comedy, improv, history, literature and criticism, and more. Students perform onstage and serve on technical crews in mainstage theatrical productions each year. The high ratio of faculty to students ensures that students work closely with highly skilled professionals.

For students interested in studying theater arts, CWRU Theater Weekend is not to be missed. https://go.case.edu/portal/theater-events
