Open-ended art lets children make their own choices, try out their ideas and feel proud of something that's all theirs.

We're a screen-free school, and we're proud of it. 🌱

Screens aren't the enemy. But ages three to six are when the real foundations get built: waiting for a turn, working through a big feeling, building something with your own two hands, getting lost in pretend.

That kind of growth can't be swiped or streamed. So in our classrooms, the answer is always play first.

Castlewood Community Preschool & Kindergarten is looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our team Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

We’re a small, community-focused play-based preschool and kindergarten with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning. Our children have space to explore, create, get messy, take appropriate risks, build relationships and learn through meaningful play.

We’re not a daycare or traditional childcare center, and we’re hoping to find someone who genuinely connects with our philosophy. We’d love a teacher who understands the value of play, enjoys being outside with children, and believes young kids learn best through hands-on experiences rather than worksheets and highly structured academics.
