Calling all Parents and Students!

Beginning Sept. 1, Racine Unified School District will implement a new student cell phone policy in accordance with Wisconsin's 2025 Act 42, which requires all public school districts to prohibit students from using cell phones and other wireless communication devices during instructional time.

What is the new policy?

Grades K–8
Students must turn off all personal wireless devices and store them away from their person (such as in a locker) from the start of the school day until dismissal.

Grades 9–12
Students must turn off all personal wireless devices and keep them out of reach during class. Devices may only be used during passing periods and a student’s lunch period.

School is *allegedly* only 21 days away. It’s time for middle school students to begin applying to be in our student government. Last years student government held tons of fun events. We also filled classroom grants, donated to the Hospitality Center of Racine, hosted a "Socktober" sock drive, held a scary movie night, purchased playground equipment for all grades, and organized four middle school dances. This year we look to do even more. Have your student fill out the application below to join for the upcoming school year.
